We live in an interesting time. Materially the best the world has ever seen, yet everything seems irreparably and horribly F#cked. What's going on?
Title: Everything is F#cked a book about hope
Author: Mark Manson
Summary:In a world where everything is better than it has ever been (materially), why does it seem so F#cked? This book draws on mountains of research from psychology, philosophy, religion, politics, money, entertainment, the internet and more to help us better understand this thing we call hope and how we shouldn't be so reliant on it. Hope should not be a means to an end, it should be an end in itself. But what is hope? and how do we make such a dramatic paradigm shift?
Real world application
I read this book within 2 sittings, and found the book to easy to read. Manson, once again, holds a mirror up to the reader, which can be confronting (in a good way), and makes demands on us to be better. Not merely hope to be better. But BE better. And that’s a message I can get behind.
Easy to read
Could be confronting for some (which can be a good thing) but others be disagree
